To some of the children, families and adults we serve, the Y is their only hope...the place they turn to for the encouragement and support they need to accomplish their dreams.

You can make a difference by becoming a donor. The YMCA's efforts to pair resources with community needs, allows our donors to give to programs and services that matter most to them – causes that are closest to their hearts.

One charitable contribution can impact the life of an underserved preschooler, an idle teenager, a deserving single parent, or an isolated senior adult forever. So whether you give to the annual campaign, to a building campaign, or to the endowment fund, you can be a donor.

Ways to Give

A little goes a long way to build strong kids, strong families and strong communities...

*$60.00 allows a child to enjoy one week of summer fun camp

*$26.00 provides a one month membership for an active older adult

*$11.50 provides a one month membership for a youth (under 18)

*$51.75 provides a one month membership for an entire family

*$90.00 provides the joiner fee required for a family

Perpetuating Important Values

The YMCA has lasted in a world where so much comes and goes quickly. It is stable, values-based, professionally managed, in touch with public sentiment, and capable of meeting the changing conditions and needs of the future.

The YMCA is a gift that we have received – that was already here when we were born. It is a gift that we should give to those still unborn to perpetuate values that really matter.

Many friends of the YMCA are helping to extend its influence beyond their own lifetimes with gifts of assets they have accumulated. Such gifts can be directed to support the overall work of the YMCA or can be designated to support a specific YMCA branch or program.

The nation’s tax laws provide incentives that encourage philanthropy, in recognition of the role charitable organizations (including the YMCA) play in meeting important society needs. Depending on the specific arrangement, you can expect some or all of the following benefits of a well-designed gift to the YMCA:

Income tax saving through the charitable deduction for the value of the gift;

Avoidance of the capital-gains tax on contributions of certain kinds of property that have increased in value over time;

Income for life, for a donor and/or other beneficiaries;

The possibility of increased, spendable income with certain arrangements;

Elimination of federal estate tax on the value of a gift passing to the YMCA upon the donor’s death;

Reduced estate settlement costs.

When the YMCA is aware of your financial as well as philanthropic objectives, we can help formulate a plan that takes full advantage of the available tax benefits while fulfilling your desire to benefit future generations of children and families through the YMCA.

Accountability

With 100 percent of every dollar raised going toward Eden YMCA programs and financial assistance, an investment in the Y is truly an investment towards nurturing kids, supporting families and strengthening communities.
